IKIJA CARE · OUR SERVICES

Our Services

Explore Ikija Care’s non-regulated accommodation and housing-related support.

NON-REGULATED SUPPORT

Support shaped around everyday life.

Our work focuses on accommodation, tenancy sustainment and practical help to build independent living skills. We also work alongside probation and referral partners to support community resettlement.

⌂

Tenancy sustainment

Help to understand tenancy responsibilities, maintain a home, address housing issues early and navigate housing-cost queries with landlords, Universal Credit or the council.

◎

Routines and life skills

Practical prompts to build routines, manage everyday tasks and work towards personal goals. Where agreed, this may include a verbal reminder for someone to manage their own medication; we do not handle or administer medication.

+

Appointments and services

Help to prepare for and access appointments with GPs, probation, mental health teams and other professionals, and liaise with them where agreed.

⌁

Community inclusion

Help to identify local resources, activities and opportunities for positive social connection.

♡

Wellbeing and safeguarding

Non-clinical listening support and calm practical help during difficult moments. We raise safeguarding concerns with the appropriate professionals; we do not provide counselling, clinical treatment or crisis care.

↗

Collaborative working

With the person’s agreement and appropriate information-sharing arrangements, we liaise with local authorities, probation, landlords, GPs, mental health teams and other professionals involved in their support.

⌂

Resettlement after custody

For suitable referrals, a stable place to live and practical housing support can help someone returning from custody rebuild routines, maintain a tenancy and reconnect with community services.

↗

Steps towards work and training

We encourage people to explore education, training and employment opportunities that fit their goals, and can help them connect with relevant services. Some people we have supported have gone on to find work.

+

Food and everyday essentials

Where agreed for an individual, practical support may include help accessing weekly groceries and basic household items such as washing-up liquid or laundry detergent. This support is optional and varies by person; it is not an automatic or guaranteed weekly provision for every resident. It may help with day-to-day food access and maintaining a settled routine at home.

Clear about our role

Ikija Care is not CQC-registered and is not the landlord. Accommodation is provided by the relevant landlord or accommodation provider; our role is non-regulated housing-related support. We do not provide personal care, clinical treatment, medication administration or 24-hour care. Our sister company, Primrose Care Bexley, operates separately and may provide regulated care services.

REGULATED CARE

Need personal care or a regulated service?

Ikija Care provides non-regulated housing-related support only. We do not provide probation supervision, personal care, clinical treatment, medication administration or 24-hour care. Primrose Care Bexley is a separate sister company and may provide regulated care services.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT · IN DEVELOPMENT

Skills for a fresh start.

We are seeking funding and community partners to develop optional learning opportunities for adults we support, including people rebuilding their lives after contact with the criminal justice system. The aim is to build confidence, practical skills and routes into education, volunteering and work.

⌘

Digital confidence

Possible sessions in basic IT, email, online safety, using digital services and searching for jobs or learning.

↗

Preparing for work

Support to explore CVs, applications, interview confidence, workplace expectations, volunteering and work experience.

◎

Learning and next steps

Opportunities to build communication, literacy, numeracy and budgeting skills, and connect with suitable vocational or accredited learning.

These are development aims, not a current funded programme. Any activities would be voluntary and depend on funding, suitable partners, accessibility and each person’s goals. We cannot promise availability or a specific outcome.
